You might have tested the Starbucks Double Chocolate Chip Frappuccino. But I twisted it and made a White Mocha Double Chocolate Chip Frappuccino.

I tried it because I saw many people were talking about it on TikTok and social media.

So, I decided to make it at home. And, trust me, you don’t have to be a barista. It’s too easy and simple. It also tastes like the cafe one. If you ask me, I even feel better than in a cafe.

In this post, I will show you how you can make this Icy, Chocolate, Creamy Frappuccino at home with few ingredients.

Plus I will also share some tips to make it rich and thick. I will even tell you how you can tweak it if you want it to be dairy-free or lighter.

It would be good if you are on a weight loss goal and don’t want to consume too many calories.

What’s So Special About White Mocha Double Chocolate Chip Frappuccino?

This drink is inspired by the classic Starbucks Double Chocolate Chip Frappuccino, but I made it more creamer and smoother with white mocha sauce, which adds a silky-sweet layer of flavor to this drink.

Besides this, the drink has double indulgence. White chocolate plus dark chocolate chips.

So, it will give you both rich cocoa and a kind of vanilla-like creaminess flavor in every sip.

If we talk about texture, it is like a dessert drink that is icy, thick, and slightly chewy because of the chips that I added to it, but also creamy and sweet, which is the main thing for me.

Overall, this is a super treat that you can enjoy on summer days when you are craving something chocolatey but cold or when guests are arriving, and you want to serve something unique. This is what you can try.

White Mocha Double Chocolate Chip Frappuccino Ingredients

White Mocha Double Chocolate Chip Frappuccino Ingredients

Here are the exact ingredients that you need to make a Starbucks-style white mocha double chocolate chip frappuccino at home.

But make sure that you are using high-quality ingredients if possible.

I’ll mention some brand options, too.

    • 1 cup milk: Whole milk works pretty well for creaminess, but almond or oat milk is fine too.
    • 1½ cups ice: Crushed or whole cubes are both fine, as you’ll have to blend them.
    • ¼ cup white chocolate sauce or syrup: I personally recommend Ghirardelli White Chocolate Sauce, or you can also try Torani White Chocolate Syrup.
    • 3 tbsp dark or semi-sweet chocolate chips: Mini chips will blend better. And you can use any brand like Ghirardelli, Callebaut, or Nestlé Toll House; they are all good.
    • 2 tbsp chocolate syrup: It is for blending and drizzling. You can use Hershey’s, Monin, or Ghirardelli, or any other.
    • ¼ tsp vanilla extract: It is Optional, but it will add warmth, and you will also get café-style vibes.
    • 2 tbsp whipped cream: This will be used for topping (and you can use store-bought or homemade; both are fine).
    • Optional espresso shot: If you want a little coffee kick with it, it’s totally up to you.

    That’s it.

If you have these things at home, you’re already halfway done.

Substitute Options If You’re Missing Some Ingredients

In case you don’t have every exact ingredient that I mentioned, here is what you can use as an alternative.

    • Milk: Consider using almond, oat, coconut, or soy milk. If you use Oatly Barista Blend, it will give extra creaminess.
    • White Mocha Sauce: If this is not available, you should melt ¼ cup of white chocolate with 1 tbsp of cream.
    • Chocolate Chips: If this isn’t available, too, then you should use chopped chocolate bars. I recommend Lindt 70% or Ghirardelli Intense Dark.
    • Chocolate Syrup: If needed, then you can melt chocolate chips with a little water and sugar.
    • Vanilla Extract: You can skip it if you don’t have it, but it will enhance flavor.

Customizing these won’t ruin the drink, but it may change a teste, but very little, and I don’t think so you’ll even notice that.

How to Make Starbucks-Style White Mocha Double Chocolate Chip Frappuccino at Home

White Mocha Double Chocolate Chip Frappuccino Starbucks

This is my own way of making white Mocha Double Chocolate Chip Frappuccino. So you also want to follow the exact method for the same taste (Yummy):

Step 1: Add Ingredients to Blender

Firstly, you want to add all the following ingredients to your blender:

    • Milk
    • Ice
    • White mocha sauce
    • Chocolate chips
    • Chocolate syrup
    • Vanilla extract (if using)
    • Optional: espresso shot

Make sure to use a blender at high speed to crush ice easily.

Step 2: Blend Until Smooth and Chunky

Now, you’ll want to blend everything until you achieve a thick frappuccino-like texture.

And you should blend it for about 20 to 30 seconds or more if your chocolate chips are large.

Besides this, I also prefer to leave some chips for that texture when sipping (too small, they feel chewy), and this is also what makes the drink “double chip” style.

    Step 3: Check the Consistency

If your homemade Starbucks-style drink feels too runny, you can add some more ice and blend it again.

If it’s too thick, just add some milk.

After that, it will be ready.

Note: it should stay thick enough to hold the toppings.

Step 4: Serve and Top It Like a Pro

Now, you can pour it into your favorite glass or jar. And top it with a big swirl of whipped cream.

Then drizzle some chocolate syrup over the cream and even sprinkle some extra mini chocolate chips if you want a crunchy topping.

Optional: If you like extra richness, drizzle some white mocha sauce over the whipped cream, too.

Finally, your café-style White Mocha Double Chocolate Chip Frappuccino will be ready.

Tips to Make It More Like Starbucks (or Better)

These are a few things that I personally tried, and they make my drink more indulgent:

    • Use mini chocolate chips: If you use them, they’ll blend smoothly and will give little chocolate specks.
    • Chill the glass before pouring: It will keep your homemade white mocha drink cold for a longer time.
    • Use coffee ice cubes: If you want to add a coffee flavor, you can freeze espresso in an ice tray and then use that instead of plain ice.
    • For a thicker texture, You can add 2 tbsp of vanilla or chocolate pudding mix before blending. They both work well.
    • Use heavy cream instead of milk: This is good If you want a dessert-style drink (not for everyday ones).

What to Pair With Your Homemade Frappuccino

Chocolate muffins for White Mocha Double Chocolate Chip Frappuccino

This homemade white mocha double chocolate chip frappuccino drink is complete on its own, but I personally recommend you pair it with something.

However, it will increase the calorie intake:

    Sweet Bites

    • Chocolate muffins, brownies, or doughnuts (it will double the dessert hit).
    • White chocolate cookies or chocolate-dipped biscotti. Both taste delicious with the drink.
    • Cream puffs, eclairs, or any pastry with a vanilla-chocolate combo.

    Savory Contrast

    • Salted pretzels or cheese crackers—salty-sweet combo, both work great.
    • Mini grilled cheese sandwiches or cheese croissants.
    • Roasted almonds with sea salt.

    Light Options

    • Fresh fruits like bananas, strawberries, or raspberries.
    • Oat bars or energy bites.
    • Yogurt with a sprinkle of cocoa nibs.

Creative Ways to Customize Your Drink

I experimented with Starbucks drinks and made a White Mocha Double Chocolate Chip Frappuccino, which is already indulgent, but if you’re like me and want to do another experiment.

So here are some twists you can try:

    • Caramel Chocolate Chip Frappuccino: You can add a spoonful of caramel sauce into the blender and drizzle on top.
    • Minty Mocha Chip: If you add just 1 drop of peppermint extract, your drink will become kinda more refreshing.
    • Spicy Mocha: if you add a pinch of cinnamon or cayenne powder, you’ll get a warm kick.
    • Extra Coffee Kick: For this, you can add a full espresso shot or cold brew instead of milk.
    • Vegan Version: Don’t use whole milk. Instead, you should use almond milk, dairy-free chocolate chips, and coconut whipped cream.
    • Iced Drink Twist: You can pour it into a glass without blending and then serve it over coffee ice cubes with chocolate milk.

These were just a few options in my mind that I recommend to you. However you can also try something else but don’t forget to share your experiment with me.

    Nutritional Breakdown (Approximate Per Serving)

This nutritional value is based on the ingredients that I have used and also given you, so it’s just average nutrition per large glass:

    • Calories – 350–420 kcal
    • Sugar – 30–35g
    • Fat – 18–22g
    • Protein – 6–8g
    • Caffeine – Only if you add espresso (around 60–80mg)

It contains too many calories, so if you’re on a weight loss goal, then you should make it more healthy.

For example, you can use low-fat milk, skip the whipped cream, and go light on chocolate syrup.

    Conclusion

This is my own homemade Starbucks-style White Mocha Double Chocolate Chip Frappuccino recipe, which you can easily make at home without spending $5–$6 for just one drink.

It’s rich, creamy, and icy, and I used both white and dark chocolate flavors.

One more thing I recommend is don’t just copy my drink, but you can also consider customizing it.

You can make it vegan, make it spicy, add espresso, or make it a summer-style iced drink using ice cubes.

So now, pick your ingredients and blender, and make this frappuccino your own signature version.

Btw don’t forget to top it with whipped cream and a good chocolate drizzle; that’s what will give you the café-style feel.

    Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Here are a few questions and answers about homemade mocha double chocolate chip frappuccino Starbucks inspired:

Can I make this frappuccino without using white mocha sauce?

Yes, you can make this white mocha double chocolate chip frappuccino if you don’t have a store-bought white mocha sauce.

You just have to use ¼ cup of white melted chocolate chips with 1 tablespoon of heavy cream or milk. And make sure to stir until it gets smooth. It will also work like the store-bought sauce.

What if I don’t have a blender at home?

If you don’t have a blender, then you can try using a food processor or immersion blender.

You’ll have to crush ice separately and then mix it by hand.

However, you will not get the same thick coffee texture. But the flavor will still be the same.

How long does this drink last if I want to store it?

I personally recommend that you should always, always drink it fresh.

However, if you have leftover Frappuccino, then you can store it in an airtight glass jar or in a bottle in the refrigerator for around one day.

And whenever you want to drink, you can shake it or re-blend it with a few more ice cubes for the frosty texture. But I say, drink it fresh.
