Hi, I’m Abraham — the recipe developer, food experimenter, and home cook behind Cook for Foodies.

I’m a self-taught home cook with a deep passion for good food, unusual flavor combinations, and turning ordinary ingredients into something special.

My recipes cover everything from copycat drinks and coffee creamers to easy desserts, savory meals, healthy snacks, and more — made in my own kitchen and verified to work.

My Cooking Journey

My cooking journey started back in 2018, when I first began experimenting in the kitchen.

But it was really during the 2019 pandemic that things shifted. Like many people, I was stuck at home — and that time became an opportunity to slow down and learn new things. Cooking quickly became more than a hobby. It became a passion.

I launched Cook for Foodies to share easy, accessible, and exciting recipes that feel both familiar and new.

How I Test My Recipes

Every recipe I post is tested in my own kitchen, often more than once to make sure it works.

My mother helps me verify difficult recipes — especially when it comes to traditional dishes and tricky ingredient measurements. She has years of cooking experience and acts as my most honest taste-tester.

Some recipes on this blog come from my family — dishes my mother, grandmother, and brother have made over the years. We’ve shared them with each other, cooked them together, and I publish them only after verifying they taste exactly as expected.

I also use food photography that accurately represents the finished dish — sometimes AI-enhanced for lighting and clarity, but always showing the real, actual recipe result.

My goal is simple: recipes that taste great, look inviting, and are simple enough that anyone can try them.

Beyond the Kitchen

Outside cooking, I’ve always had a creative side. Since childhood, I’ve been passionate about drawing and sketching — I was even the best artist in my class in 1st grade.

Over the years I’ve explored many interests:

  • Playing cricket — my favorite childhood sport
  • Cycling, mountain biking, and sprinting — I ranked 1st out of 300+ students in a school competition in 2018
  • Fitness & Gym — going since 2019, and I love sharing fitness and diet tips with friends
  • Reading about self-improvement, history, politics, science, and animals

My love for wellness also inspires many of the recipes I create — especially ones designed for weight loss, muscle recovery, or a balanced diet.
