Stok Cold Brew Recipe

Make this Stok Cold Brew at home with the perfect coffee-to-water ratio. This smooth, bold, and chocolatey cold brew can be served black, with milk, as a concentrate, or with mocha and vanilla twists.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup 85 g coarsely ground medium-dark roast coffee beans (with chocolate/caramel notes)
  • 4 cups 950 ml cold filtered water

Optional add-ins:

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract for vanilla cold brew
  • 1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder for mocha variation
  • 1 cinnamon stick for spiced twist

Instructions
 

Prepare the Coffee

  • Measure 1 cup (85 g) of coarsely ground coffee beans.
  • Add them into a large mason jar, pitcher, or French press.

Add Water and Mix

  • Pour 4 cups (950 ml) of cold, filtered water over the coffee grounds.
  • Stir thoroughly to make sure all grounds are fully soaked.

Steep the Cold Brew

  • Cover the jar or French press with a lid or plastic wrap.
  • Place in the refrigerator to steep:
  • 12 hours → smoother, lighter flavor
  • 18 hours → bolder, chocolatey taste with stronger caffeine

Strain the Brew

  • Strain the coffee using:
  • French press mesh
  • Cheesecloth
  • Double paper filter for extra smoothness

Bottle and Store

  • Pour the filtered cold brew into airtight bottles or jars.
  • Store in the refrigerator for up to 7 days.

Serve and Enjoy

  • Black over ice → closest to the bottled Stok version
  • Diluted with water: if too strong for your taste
  • With milk or cream: for a smooth latte-style drink
  • Mocha-style: whisk cocoa powder with milk, then add cold brew
  • Sweetened: stir in honey, maple syrup, or simple syrup
  • With cold foam: top with whipped milk foam for café-style

Notes

For a stronger concentrate like bottled Stok, use a 1:4 ratio (double the coffee beans). Dilute with water, milk, or ice when serving.
