Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups full-fat milk
  • 3 tablespoons custard powder vanilla or any flavor
  • 4 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt optional
  • Optional toppings: chopped fruits banana, mango, berries, nuts, whipped cream, chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Step 1: In a bowl, mix 3 tablespoons custard powder with ½ cup cold milk (from total). Whisk to make a lump-free slurry.
  • Step 2: Heat remaining 1½ cups of milk in a heavy saucepan. Add 4 tablespoons sugar and stir on medium heat until dissolved. Optional: add pinch of salt.
  • Step 3: Lower heat. Slowly pour in custard slurry while stirring continuously. Cook on low heat for 5–7 minutes until thickened and coats the spoon.
  • Step 4: Turn off heat. Stir in 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Let it cool for 5–10 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent skin.
  • Step 5: Pour into bowls or molds. Optional: strain for smooth texture. Cover and refrigerate for 2–3 hours, or overnight for unmolding.
