Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup whole milk or almond/oat for dairy-free
  • 1 cup heavy cream or half-and-half for lighter version
  • 3 tbsp sugar or honey/maple/stevia
  • 2 tsp cocoa powder unsweetened
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp red food coloring or beetroot powder
  • Pinch of salt optional

Instructions
 

Heat the Base

  • In a saucepan, warm milk and cream on medium heat (don’t boil).

Add Cocoa + Sugar

  • Whisk in cocoa and sugar until smooth.
  • If lumps form, strain for a silky texture.

Flavor + Color

  • Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla and food coloring.
  • Adjust red color until vibrant.

Cool & Store

  • Let cool, pour into a jar or bottle.
  • Refrigerate up to 5–6 days. Shake before using.

Notes

Use oat milk + coconut cream for vegan.
Sweeten with monk fruit/erythritol for keto-friendly.
