Instructions

Step 1: Make the Crust

  • Crush cookies or crackers into fine crumbs using a food processor or zip-top bag with rolling pin. Mix with melted butter and optional sugar until it looks like wet sand. Press firmly into a 9-inch pie dish. Chill for 15–20 minutes.

Step 2: Prepare Banana Pudding Layer

  • Whisk banana pudding mix with cold milk for 2 minutes until smooth and thick. Fold in whipped topping gently. Layer banana slices on the chilled crust and pour pudding mixture on top. Smooth out. Chill while preparing the next layer.

Step 3: Make Chocolate Ganache Layer

  • Heat heavy cream in a saucepan until just simmering. Pour over chocolate chips in a bowl and let sit for 1–2 minutes. Stir until smooth. Add butter if using. Cool slightly, then pour over banana layer. Spread evenly.

Step 4: Chill and Serve

  • Refrigerate entire pie for 4–6 hours (or overnight). Before serving, top with whipped cream, more banana slices, and any additional toppings. Slice and serve chilled.
