Ingredients
  

Essential Ingredients:

  • 6 large ripe strawberries – preferably organic with green leaves intact
  • 150 g 5 oz dark chocolate or camel milk chocolate high-quality brand like Patchi, Mirzam, or couverture for smooth coating
  • ½ teaspoon coconut oil or butter – optional to make the melted chocolate shinier and smoother

Optional Luxury Toppings:

  • 1 sheet edible gold leaf or ½ teaspoon edible gold dust – for a shimmering finish
  • 4–5 saffron threads – steeped in 1 tablespoon warm cream for Middle Eastern aroma
  • 1 teaspoon rosewater or 1 teaspoon date syrup – for floral or caramel sweetness
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped pistachios or almonds – for garnish and crunch
  • 1 tablespoon edible rose petals – optional for garnish and fragrance

Instructions
 

Preparing the Strawberries

  • Choose firm, bright red strawberries with green leaves intact.
  • Rinse under cold water and pat completely dry with a paper towel.
  • Ensure no moisture remains — even a single drop can stop chocolate from sticking.

Melting the Chocolate for a Smooth Coating

  • Double-boiler method: Add 150g chocolate to a heatproof bowl placed over simmering water (don’t let the bowl touch the water). Stir until melted.
  • Microwave method: Heat chocolate in 20-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth and creamy.
  • Pro Tip: If the chocolate thickens, add ½ teaspoon coconut oil or butter and stir for shine.

Adding the Dubai Twist

  • For saffron flavor: Mix the saffron-infused cream into melted chocolate for floral taste.
  • For rose flavor: Add 1 teaspoon rosewater before dipping.
  • For a luxury finish: Press edible gold leaf or dust with gold powder on top.

Dipping & Decorating

  • Hold each strawberry by the leaves and dip into the melted chocolate, swirling gently.
  • Place on parchment paper.
  • While the chocolate is wet, sprinkle pistachios, almonds, or rose petals, or drizzle date syrup on top.

Sett the Chocolate

  • Place dipped strawberries on a parchment-lined tray.
  • Let them cool at room temperature or in the fridge for 15–20 minutes until firm.
  • Avoid touching until fully hardened.
