Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice 5–6 medium lemons
  • 1 cup simple syrup 1:1 sugar to water
  • 4 cups cold water filtered or sparkling
  • Ice cubes as needed
  • Lemon slices & mint leaves for garnish

For the Simple Syrup:

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water

Instructions
 

Make Simple Syrup

  • Combine sugar and water in a saucepan.
  • Heat on medium until sugar dissolves completely.
  • Cool before using.

Juice the Lemons

  • Roll lemons, cut, and squeeze.
  • Strain juice to remove seeds and pulp (optional).

Mix Lemon Juice & Syrup

  • In a pitcher, combine 1 cup lemon juice + 1 cup simple syrup.
  • Stir to create your lemonade base.

Add Cold Water

  • Add 4 cups cold water. Stir well.
  • Taste and adjust: add more syrup for sweetness or more water for balance.

Chill & Serve

  • Pour over ice, garnish with lemon slices and mint leaves, and enjoy.

Notes

Standard ratio: 1:1:4 (lemon juice : syrup : water) for perfect balance.
Use Meyer lemons for a sweeter, less tangy lemonade.
