Hazelnut Chocolate Milk Tea Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup water
  • 2 black tea bags or 2 tsp loose Assam tea
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder or ¼ cup dark chocolate chunks
  • 1 –1½ tbsp hazelnut syrup or ½ tsp hazelnut extract
  • ½ to ¾ cup milk of choice whole, oat, or almond
  • 1 –2 tsp sugar or sweetener optional
  • 1 tsp Nutella optional, for richer flavor
  • Whipped cream optional topping
  • Toasted hazelnuts optional topping
  • Chocolate syrup or cocoa powder optional garnish

Instructions
 

Step 1: Brew the Strong Tea

  • Bring 1 cup water to a boil, then steep 2 black tea bags (or 2 tsp loose tea) for 5–6 mins. Remove tea and let cool slightly.

Step 2: Mix in Chocolate

  • In a bowl, mix 2 tbsp cocoa powder or melted ¼ cup chocolate with a splash of tea. Stir into a smooth paste. Add to brewed tea.

Step 3: Add Hazelnut & Sweetener

  • Add 1 tbsp hazelnut syrup (or extract) and 1–2 tsp sugar if needed. Mix well. Add 1 tsp Nutella now for extra richness (optional).

Step 4: Pour in Milk

  • Add ½ to ¾ cup milk of your choice and gently heat everything on low. Don’t boil. Stir to combine.

Step 5: Top and Serve

  • Serve hot or iced. Top with whipped cream, chopped hazelnuts, or cocoa powder. For iced, pour over crushed ice in a mason jar.
