Homemade dark chocolate quinoa crisps that taste like a healthier Crunch bar and closely mimic the Undercover Chocolate version. Made two ways: scratch method with raw quinoa or quick 5-minute method with puffed quinoa.

- 1 cup raw quinoa Method 1 or 1 cup store-bought puffed quinoa (Method 2)
- 1 cup dark chocolate chips or chopped dark chocolate bar 70%+ cocoa
- 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup optional
- 1 tsp vanilla extract optional
- Pinch of flaky sea salt for topping
Method 1 Steps (Raw Quinoa):
Step 2: Bake Dry
Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).
Spread cooked quinoa thin on parchment-lined baking sheet.
Bake 20 to 25 minutes, stirring halfway, until completely dry and slightly crispy.
Cool completely.
Step 3: Melt Chocolate
Melt chocolate in 30-second microwave intervals, stirring each time, until smooth.
Add honey and vanilla if using.
Step 4: Combine and Form
Mix cooled quinoa into chocolate until coated.
Drop spoonfuls onto parchment.
Sprinkle sea salt immediately.
Method 2 Steps (Puffed Quinoa):

The baking/drying step in Method 1 is essential.
Skipping it gives you soft coated quinoa, not crisps.
Cool quinoa completely before adding to chocolate or the chocolate may seize.
Sea salt on top is what makes these taste like the Undercover version.
