- 1 cup frozen blueberries
- 1 scoop chocolate protein powder or 1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup milk almond, oat, or whole
- ¼ cup Greek yogurt optional
- 1 tsp maple syrup or honey adjust to taste
- 3 –4 ice cubes optional, only if not using frozen fruit
Add 1 cup frozen blueberries, chocolate protein powder or cocoa, milk, and optional Greek yogurt to your blender.
Blend for 30–40 seconds or until completely smooth.
Taste and adjust: Add sweetener or extra cocoa if needed.
Serve in a glass or shaker and enjoy immediately.
- Use frozen blueberries (not fresh) for the thickest, coldest smoothie without needing ice. Fresh berries need 4–5 ice cubes to compensate.
- Layer liquids at the bottom of the blender, then add frozen fruit on top — this helps the blades pull everything down without air pockets.
- If using cocoa powder instead of protein powder, add a touch of honey or maple syrup to balance the bitterness.
- To meal-prep, blend and freeze in a zip-lock bag. Thaw in the fridge overnight and shake before drinking.
- For extra creaminess without banana, add ½ avocado — it blends invisibly and adds healthy fat that keeps you full longer.
