Dunkin Blueberry Muffin Coffee Recipe

I really like to try out the secret menu–style Dunkin drinks, and one that always gets attention is the Blueberry Muffin Coffee Recipe.

It’s iced coffee but with a fruity blueberry taste and vanilla sweetness that makes it taste like you are actually drinking a muffin.

And it is one of those drinks that TikTok made even more popular.

One good thing, you do not need to be at Dunkin every morning to enjoy this. Once you know how to make the Dunkin Blueberry Muffin Coffee recipe at home,

How to Make Dunkin Blueberry Muffin Coffee

Dunkin Blueberry Muffin Coffee is basically their iced coffee flavored with blueberry and vanilla syrups, plus cream or milk to give it a muffin-like taste.

Some people call it a secret menu drink, but really it’s just a mix you can order by asking for iced coffee with blueberry flavor shot and French vanilla swirl.

Ingredients:

Here is everything I used to make this drink at home. You can get them easily, and if not, I’ll also give substitutes below.

  • 1 cup strong brewed iced coffee or cold brew: Dunkin always brews coffee stronger for iced drinks, so I recommend doing the same. Cold brew will make it less acidic and smoother. Btw, you can also check my Iced Mocha Latte with Instant Coffee Recipe if you like mocha-style drinks.
  • 2 tbsp blueberry syrup: You can use Torani Blueberry or Monin Blueberry syrup, or make your own at home. Or you can use Torani White chocolate Sauce for a chocolate flavor.
  • 1 tbsp vanilla syrup or 1/4 tsp vanilla extract + 1 tsp sugar: Vanilla will bring muffin flavor.
  • 1/2 cup milk or cream: Dunkin usually uses whole milk or cream. Oat milk is a good substitute if you want it vegan.
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon sugar (optional): This makes it taste more bakery-like.
  • Ice cubes: add enough to fill your cup.
  • Optional 1–2 tsp chocolate syrup: If you want a blueberry chocolate muffin version.

Instructions:

Follow this step by step guide:

Step 1: Brew Strong Coffee

You wanna start with a strong cup of coffee.

Dunkin iced coffee is never watery, so you will need about 2 tbsp of coffee per 6 oz of water

If you want smoother coffee, you can go for cold brew steeped overnight.

Brew extra and chill it in the fridge so you can make more drinks later without waiting.

Step 2: Make Blueberry Syrup (If Homemade)

Homemade syrup tastes fresher.

You wanna add 1/2 cup blueberries, 1/4 cup sugar, and 1/4 cup water in a small pan.

Simmer until berries break down, mash slowly, and strain.

Let it cool. It will thicken slightly in the fridge, so then you keep it in a jar and use it within a week.

Shortcut: You can mix 1 tbsp blueberry jam with 2 tbsp hot water, strain, and you’re done in 2 minutes.

Step 3: Mix Coffee and Flavor

  • Fill a tall glass with ice.
  • Pour in 1 cup of brewed coffee
  • Stir in 2 tbsp blueberry syrup and 1 tbsp vanilla syrup

Mix until it’s well combined.

Step 4: Add Milk or Cream

You want to slowly pour in 1/2 cup of milk

Whole milk makes it taste closer to Dunkin, but if you want creamy thickness, use half-and-half.

Stir slowly to get a smooth blend.

Step 5: Sprinkle the Muffin Top

If you want to mimic the bakery flavor, add 1/2 tsp cinnamon sugar on top.

You can stir it in or just let it float slightly so you taste it at the end of each sip.

Step 6: Chocolate Muffin Version (Optional)

Add 1–2 tsp of chocolate syrup or even melt a square of chocolate into the hot coffee before chilling.

This will give you a blueberry chocolate muffin coffee. It is sweet, rich, and perfect with Chocolate Covered Popcorn as a snack on the side.

Ingredient Substitutes:

Sometimes you don’t have all the ingredients, or maybe you want a healthier twist. These are some swaps that I recommend you try:

  • Blueberry syrup: If you don’t want to buy syrup, simmer 1/2 cup blueberries, 1/4 cup sugar, and 1/4 cup water. Mash and strain. Or just mix a spoon of blueberry jam with warm water, strain it, and you will get a quick version.
  • Vanilla syrup: You can replace it with vanilla extract + honey or maple syrup. Even a tiny splash of almond extract can add nutty muffin vibes.
  • Milk: Oat milk makes it thick and creamy, almond milk gives a light nutty taste, and coconut milk adds a tropical edge. Each one changes the flavor slightly but still works, so you can use any of them.
  • Coffee base: If you only have instant coffee, you can make it work. Dissolve 2 tsp instant coffee in 1/2 cup hot water, add 1/2 cup cold water, and chill. Not Dunkin-level, but still decent.
  • Cinnamon sugar: Nutmeg or allspice are also good if you like spiced bakery flavors.

I tried this once with oat milk and a spoon of maple syrup instead of vanilla syrup, and it came out tasting like a blueberry pancake coffee — so do not be afraid to experiment.

Variations to Try

This is not just one drink — here are some ideas you should try at least once:

  1. Blueberry Donut Coffee: Replace vanilla with caramel swirl. It will taste like blueberry iced coffee with donut glaze.
  2. Hot Blueberry Muffin Latte: You can skip the ice and make it hot with steamed milk instead. Also, sprinkle cinnamon sugar on the foam.
  3. Vegan Blueberry Muffin Coffee: You can use oat milk + coconut cream for creaminess. And, top with shredded coconut if you like.
  4. Sugar-Free Muffin Coffee: Use sugar-free syrups and almond milk. It will still taste bakery-style but lighter.
  5. Blueberry Mocha Latte: You will have to add blueberry + chocolate syrups to espresso instead of regular coffee. This one will feel like a dessert café drink.
  6. Bakery Cinnamon Version: Add extra cinnamon syrup or nutmeg for a warm, spiced flavor.
  7. TikTok-Style Order: I saw a lot of videos about that, so you can have Iced coffee + blueberry flavor shot + French vanilla swirl + cream. That’s the combo most people order when they want the muffin coffee at Dunkin.

Nutrition Facts (Homemade Estimate)

This is an estimate for one 16-oz serving made with whole milk and syrups:

  • Calories: 160–220
  • Sugar: 20–26g
  • Fat: 3–7g
  • Protein: 2–3g
  • Caffeine: 95–120mg (about the same as Dunkin iced coffee)

If you use cream, calories can go past 250.

And, if you add chocolate syrup, you’ll add about 50 more calories.

For a lighter version, you can go with almond or oat milk and sugar-free syrups.

What to Serve with Dunkin Blueberry Muffin Coffee

This drink already feels like a bakery item in a cup, but if you pair it with the right food, it will make it even better.

Sweet Pairings

Savory Pairings

  • Egg and cheese croissant sandwich.
  • Toasted bagel with cream cheese.
  • Spinach feta wrap if you want something filling.

Fun Extras

  • Whipped cream with cinnamon sugar dusted on top.
  • Crushed graham crackers sprinkled over whipped cream.
  • A drizzle of caramel, along with blueberry syrup, if you want a fruity-caramel bakery blend.

Storage Tips

  • Coffee base: Strong brewed coffee will stay fresh in the fridge for around 3 days. And, you can keep cold brew for up to 1 week.
  • Blueberry syrup: Homemade syrup is good for 1 week. But you want to keep it in a jar in the fridge.
  • Pre-mixed drink: Best when fresh. If left overnight, milk can separate, and it won’t taste the same.
  • Do not freeze: Coffee and milk taste weird once thawed. So always add ice fresh.

Pro tip: You can brew coffee and make syrup in advance, store them separately, and mix a fresh drink in less than 2 minutes whenever you want.

Conclusion

This is a homemade Dunkin Blueberry Muffin Coffee recipe. It’s fruity, creamy, and really does taste like you’re sipping a blueberry muffin with your coffee.

Now you don’t have to wait in line or rely on Dunkin having the flavor shot in stock — you can make it at home anytime, and even better, you can adjust it to your own taste.

You can make a simple blueberry + vanilla combo or turn it into a chocolate blueberry muffin coffee; it’s a drink that feels fun, unique, and perfect for both morning and afternoon treats.
