Welcome to Cook for Foodies – a space where cravings, creativity, and comfort food come together in one delicious kitchen.
My name is Abraham, and I’m the creator behind this chocolate recipes blog — a passionate foodie, a self-taught home cook.
And I am someone who just loves to experiment with recipes that are different, bold, and sometimes a little unexpected.
Why I Started Cook for Foodies
The first reason? I’m a foodie — with a big appetite.
Being an ectomorph, I naturally need around 2,000 to 2,500+ calories per day to maintain my weight.
That means I get to eat more than most people, and honestly, I feel lucky about that!
But beyond eating, I love exploring food in a way most people don’t — trying new combinations, putting my own twist on classics, and creating something others may never have tasted before.
I believe everyone — man or woman — should learn how to cook, clean, etc.
Even though my mom still cooks most of our meals
But I felt it was important to learn for myself.
Because sometimes she’s unwell? Or out of town? And I also want to surprise her or make something special for guests. So I develop cooking skills.
Another reason for starting Cook for Foodies is kind of personal:
I didn’t have many people to share my recipes with.
So I thought — why not start a blog? When I make something new, I test it, tweak it, taste it again… and once I know it tastes good, I share it here.
My Cooking Journey
I started cooking back in 2018, but I became more serious during the 2019 pandemic.
Like many others, I was stuck at home, bored — so I made a decision to learn new skills like cooking, gardening, and sketching.
So, that’s when I really fell in love with the kitchen.
Since then, I’ve become a confident, self-taught home cook.
Not a professional chef like in fancy restaurants — but someone who can cook something comforting, delicious, and thoughtful for myself, my family, and hopefully for you.
Every recipe you see on this blog has been personally tested by me.
Sometimes, my mom steps in to help — especially when I’m trying something tricky and need her experience with ingredient measurements.
